✨ Dream Realization ✨

Becoming a Hollywood Stuntman in SPIDER-MAN
and meeting Stan Lee on set!

And Willem Dafoe. And John Dykstra.

March 2001

Downey (part of L.A.), California

How I looked like on the Digi-Print, a gift from the Cameraman Don Burgess:

This is how it looked like in the final movie scene:
(I linked the scene below so you can watch it in full.)

Original Spider-Web that Peter Parker used to save the couple from the falling debris.
The SFX guys gave it to me as a souvenir, I still own it. A valuable part of movie history:

I was super-honored to meet Stan Lee, the inventor of Spider-Man, on the set.
It was so lovely to speak with this legend and tell him that I as a teenie connected with this character so well because his new powers felt like an analogy to puberty and the awakening of a new world of abilities. He loved this idea and said after some reflection: I never really saw it that way but guess what: this might be absolutely true! Good thinking, young man!" What a blessing.

Turned out later that we even were visible in the same scene, just 23 seconds apart.
🕷 WOOAAHH. 🕸
He signed this Romita-drawn poster from an actual comic book, along with the others.
Unfortunately, Willem Dafoe was not there on that day but he signed a slip of paper later on to add to it when I one day frame it and hang it on my wall, next to the images above.

And here's the whole scene in one go. You see me at timecode 1:31.

Later I acted in other movies as well, eg. 007 - Quantum of Solace, The Three Musketeers (with Orlando Bloom) and Oliver Stone's SNOWDEN. And dozens of tv roles. But this Spider-Man adventure will forever be one of the crown jewels of my life.

Make your own dreams come true!
You see: It works! 😎✨
